Happy Earth Day 2010. Celebrating and learning about Recycling and Reusing an the Green Expo at the High School.
Both girls went to Mount St Mary's College in Newburgh, NY for Girl Scout Science Saturday.

Extracting DNA. Beautiful new labs at the college were shared with the Girl Scouts.

At the end of science day the college kids made ice cream with liquid Nitrous Oxide. Neat to watch and yummy to eat.

Happy Birthday Gwen. What a great birthday wish - Vanessa, Victoria and Evan came to visit for a wonderful BBQ and cake.

Tessa ran Spring Track. She is fantastic at the 400 meter run. She also did the 100 meter dash, Long Jump and Discus.

Memorial Day Weekend: Author Nathaniel Hawthorne's home. He purchased it from Louisa May Alcott's father. The home is over 300 years old. It is at Minute Man National Historic Place in Lexington, MA.

Minute Man NHP - Stamp and after about 6 hours there - the girls received their Junior Ranger badge. There is a lot to see here. Plan to spend the day if you go.

After Minute Man we went to Salem. We were exhausted, hungry and the National Parks were close to closing, but we still received three stamps.

Tessa was so tired, she refused to leave the Visitor's Center until she could color. She colored a ship and then did her own drawing of a sea horse (lower right-by her hand).

Another NHS stamp - just at closing time...

Dagny loves to skip rocks.

Boston, MA: Hiking all over the Freedom Trail, getting our stamps, Junior Ranger Badges and exercise.

Bunker Hill Monument. Over 200 steps and Tessa ran them about three times up and down. Track is really paying off.

USS Constitution - Old Iron Sides

The girls are hiking up to get on USS Constitution

Thirteen years earlier - we took a picture like this one - it still sits on our dresser. Great memories.

After our long walk on the Freedom Trail and visiting the USS Constitution, we hopped in a cab, to catch a ferry to the Boston Harbor Islands to get a stamp for Fort Warren. We saw this Jelly Fish in the Boston Harbor as we were boarding the ferry.

On the ferry headed to Georges Island.

Boston as seen from George's Island. We enjoyed hiking around the island and Fort Warren and the girls collected shells on the beach.

Girls and Gwen enjoy the ride on the Lowell Trolley to ride the boat on the Erie Canal.

Surprising - but yet another National Park Stamp in MA. The girls earned their Junior Ranger badge here too. They have quite the collection. Yes - Dagny is as tall as Gwen.
